Reminder: T.A.G DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 1st!

Hello artist! 

Just a reminder that T.A.G’s deadline will be FEBRUARY 1st 2012! If you want to have a chance to be featured in T.A.G’s 2012 shows in NYC, please submit! http://teenartgallery.org/tag/submit/

Now we would like to confront 3 of the most common excuses we hear for people not submitting to T.A.G: 

EXCUSE #1: “I’m not good enough” - Never go through life saying these words to yourself! And especially never say them when you are talking about art! True there are a lot of artist out there, but do not judge your own are until you give it a chance. You never know if you will be chosen for T.A.G. until you give it a shot. Also, many of you are a lot more talented than you know. SUBMIT TO T.A.G. 

EXCUSE #2: “I’m too lazy” - STOP THAT. If you are an artist, you should have made art. And if you have made art, than you have art to submit. Now all you need is a camera. Take a photo, and upload it on to the website to submit! If you say you don’t have 5 minutes to go online to do this…then why are you online reading this in the first place? Stop procrastinating. SUBMIT TO T.A.G.

EXCUSE #3: “I didn’t like last year’s space” - Well we are sorry about that. True, the space wasn’t that ideal, however we are only teens. From just an idea and a minimal amount of money, we are proud that we were able to even hold a gallery in the first place. We believe the fact that teens had an opportunity to feature their art in a professional New York City gallery, covered by the New York Times, Project Runway, Paper Mag and more is pretty amazing. We know it was a success; we hope the artist felt the same. This year, T.A.G. is bigger and better than ever, and so is the space. SUBMIT TO T.A.G.
